At the Dallas training we had a great conversation about getting our VISTAs more involved with the intersections of poverty and a variety of isms (racism, classism, patriarchy, etc) that it reinforces, creates, obscures, etc. We talked about setting up a more dedicated online space to share resources to help us understand and discuss these issues with our VISTAs and each but until then I was hoping to start sharing some information here.
I'll start by sharing a great interview from the Against the Grain radio show which discusses race, privilege, and food justice. It's a really interesting interview that I think will be relevant for anyone working in the food justice field. Against the Grain has a bunch more interviews that are definitely worth a look.
