Does anybody have any resources regarding what are appropriate pictures to take/post while on site for VISTAs? I know it's better to take pictures from behind people so you don't see their faces but it gets a little bit murky when we're in public.

Thanks in advance!

If you look on CNCS's website, they have a basic photo release you can print out and have people sign. My site had a Facebook and Flickr accounts and required members to load 5 pictures to Flickr per quarterly report. As long as we have a release on file, or there are no identifiable people, any photos are considered public domain and free to be used however your organization sees fit. Your organization is who has final say about appropriateness, as long as you aren't political, religious or requesting funds (all the things you can't do as VISTA anyway)
